Unbelievably, cars for the 2025 model year are already in production. More manufacturers will start releasing their new versions for the upcoming year as the summer moth season draws closer. Kia is particularly optimistic about bringing its 2025 models to market.

Kia has already announced five revised and/or facelifted vehicles that will be available in 2025: the Sorento Hybrid SUV, the K4 (previously the Forte) and K5 sedans, the EV6, and the Carnival minivan. Before you know it, Kia stores will be home to all of these cars. Before these 2025 Kia cars arrive on dealer lots over the coming months, here’s what you can anticipate from them.

2025 Kia Carnival / Hybrid

2025 Kia Carnival / Hybrid
  • On-Sale Date: Summer 2024 (est.)
  • Price: $35,000 (est.)
  • Engine: Turbo 1.6L Four-Cylinder Hybrid / 3.5L V-6
  • Output: 242 / 287 Horsepower
What’s New: Exterior + Interior Redesign, Hybrid Powertrain

The Kia Carnival is a fashionable minivan with lots of technology. With an aggressive facelift that is emphasised by a wide rectangular grille, sharp headlights, and the automaker’s “Star Map” LED running lights, it gets even better for 2025. The new LED taillights on the back end further improve the appearance.

Declinable second-row seats with integrated footrests and a spacious 145.1 cubic feet of cargo capacity when the second and third rows are folded down make the interior more comfortable. Additionally, there is an entertainment suite with numerous 14.6-inch HD screens in the Connected Car Rear Cockpit for rear passengers.

The most significant change for 2025 is the introduction of a hybrid powertrain, which combines a 54.0-kilowatt electric motor and a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine to provide 242 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. However, the V-6 is still available; its 3.5-liter normally aspirated engine produces 287 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of twist.

Along with new features including a digital rearview mirror, a 12.0-inch head-up display, and a fingerprint recognition system, the lightly revised interior has a new steering wheel design. The center console’s glossy black plastic accent has also been mostly removed.

The former 77.4-kilowatt-hour battery pack is replaced with a new 84.0-kilowatt-hour pack, which on some models offers longer charging times and more range. With a 350 kilowatt fast charger, the new EV6 can be recharged from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes. The range of the rear-wheel drive EV6 Long Range has increased from 295 miles to 307 miles.

Although the redesigned EV6’s pricing and release date are still unknown, we anticipate that the base model will cost approximately $45,000 when it goes on sale sometime this summer.

In 2025, Kia will replace the Forte in its lineup with a new sedan called the K4. Later this year, it will go on sale with a brand-new design that is larger than its predecessor and includes a rakish roof, a pointed C-pillar, and distinctive vertical lighting. Compared to the Forte, the K4 is roughly two inches wider and three inches longer.

Five trim levels will be available for the sedan from Kia: LX, LXS, EX, GT-Line, and GT-Line Turbo. The inside has a large 30-inch screen on the dash, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and over-the-air updates. The front seats of GT-Line vehicles are heated, and a Harmon Kardon music system is an option.

A 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 132 pound-feet of torque and 147 horsepower sits beneath the hood, mated to a continuously variable transmission. The smaller, 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 190 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of twist is the optional power plant. It is paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters.

What’s New: Updated Exterior + Interior

For 2025, the Kia K5 saw a mid-cycle upgrade that included new headlights and a front bumper to match. The Optima was replaced by the fifth-generation sedan, which debuted on sale for the 2021 model year. Although it has slight cosmetic changes for the new model year, it still looks identical to the outgoing model.

Inside the vehicle, a more important upgrade took place. Two curved screens, one measuring 12.0 inches for the driver and 12.3 inches for the infotainment display, can now be seen on the dash. Standard features include Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay.

Kia’s 2.5-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated basic engine produces 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. The front wheels are powered by an eight-speed automatic gearbox, but buyers of the GT-Line have the option to switch to all-wheel drive. The K5 GT boasts the most potent engine in the lineup: a 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that generates 290 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque, mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

2025 Kia Sorento Hybrid

  • Price: $40,065

It features updated LED running lights and waterfall-style headlights, much like the pure petrol model. Additionally, it will include two 12.3-inch screens in the same revised interior.

A 1.5 kWh battery and an electric motor are mounted beneath the 1.6-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, producing 227 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.

When using the front-wheel drive version, the Sorento Hybrid has a combined fuel economy of 36 mpg. All-wheel drive is another option. Starting at $40,065 for the standard Sorento Hybrid EX with FWD, AWD is an additional $1,800.
